Paddy Pimblett has already laced back up the gloves and returned to training just over a week removed from his blockbuster clash.

A few weeks ago, ‘The Baddy’ competed in by far the biggest fight of his career thus far when he clashed with Justin Gaethje for the interim lightweight тιтle in the UFC 324 main event.

After five rounds of back-and-forth action, ‘The Highlight’ was crowned the interim champion, becoming the first fighter in history to become a two-time interim champion.

For Paddy Pimblett, though, he will now go back to the drawing board and will likely fight several contenders before he is given another sH๏τ at UFC gold.

Pimblett returns to contact training just over a week after brutal loss

The UFC 324 main event was recently announced as the Fight of the Month by the promotion, with them kicking off the year in a great way.

During the fight, although he didn’t sustain any major injuries, Pimblett’s face was brutalized and he was wearing a lot of damage.

This past Sunday, though, the 31-year-old provided his fans with an update, stating that he didn’t suffer any major injuries, but that he suspects he has suffered a scratched cornea as a result of eye-pokes.

However, the extent of the injuries must not be substantial as this Monday, the Brit returned to contact training, sharing images on his social media of him back on the mats with the gloves back on.

“Back in the lab. Nice to be back training, I’ll be in that Octagon before you’s know it people, believe that,” Pimblett captioned his post.

The Scouser received an outpouring of support from his fans and a few fellow fighters as he looks to knock off his first loss in the UFC.

Usually, Pimblett has been known to lack discipline when he is out of camp, blowing up in weight as he enjoys indulging in junk food.

This time, though, the 31-year-old seems only hungry for redemption.

Prior to his fight against Gaethje, Pimblett shut down the idea of a potentially quick return against Ilia Topuria to unify the тιтle if he won.

Topuria was pitching a fight in April-June, which ‘The Baddy’ rejected and claimed it was too early for him.

And during his update on Sunday, Pimblett revealed that he is hoping to return to the cage in the summer, highlighting Benoit Saint-Denis as a potential opponent.
