Egypt met Mike Jackson years before they became a couple. Initially cautious due to past relationship trauma, she kept her distance. But when he showed up as a contractor on one of her flips—after she had fired the previous crew—she saw a different side of him. Reliable. Skilled. Grounded.

But by Season 4, cracks began forming behind the scenes.

The production team had completely changed. Communication deteriorated. Filming delays mounted. Egypt and Mike felt sidelined on their own show.
